Meet Sara

Hey, I’m Sara — a Physical Therapist who has been practicing since 2018. I grew up in Shaunavon, Saskatchewan, and went on to complete my physiotherapy training at the University of Saskatchewan. Since then, I’ve spent most of my career in orthopaedics, working with people of all ages and backgrounds as they navigate pain, injury, and the challenges that come with getting back to the activities they love.

My goal as a therapist is to help people achieve the highest quality of life they can — whether that’s returning to sport, managing a chronic condition, lifting kids without discomfort, or feeling confident moving through day-to-day life again. I use a combination of manual therapy, exercise, education, and acupuncture to support recovery, and I also have specialized training in pelvic health. Helping people understand their pelvic floor, break down the stigma around these concerns, and feel supported through postpartum changes is something I truly enjoy.

I believe that rehab works best when people feel informed, empowered, and part of the process. My approach is collaborative and patient-centered — I want you to understand what’s going on, why we’re choosing certain strategies, and how you can play an active role in your healing. Clear communication and education are a big part of my sessions because I’ve seen how much it helps people feel more confident and in control.

Outside of the clinic, life is full of energy and movement — I spend most of my time with my two busy little boys and our family. We love being outdoors, reading, puzzling, and travelling whenever we get the chance.

Education

2011-2015

University of Regina

2016-2018

University of Saskatchewan

I completed my Bachelor of Kinesiology at the University of Regina, majoring in Human Kinetics. My time there built a strong foundation in anatomy, biomechanics, exercise science, and behaviour change—skills that naturally led me toward Physical Therapy.

I went on to complete my Master of Physical Therapy at the University of Saskatchewan, where I developed a deeper appreciation for patient-centred, evidence-informed rehab. This training helped shape my approach today: using clear communication, simple and systematic assessments, and collaborative goal-setting to help people understand their pain, feel supported, and build lasting confidence in their movement.
