Sara's Background and Approach
Sara grew up in Shaunavon, Saskatchewan, and has practised as a physiotherapist since 2018. She completed a Bachelor of Kinesiology, majoring in Human Kinetics, at the University of Regina from 2011 to 2015, then a master's degree in physiotherapy at the University of Saskatchewan from 2016 to 2018. Most of her career has been in orthopaedics, working with people of all ages as they deal with pain and injury.
She combines manual therapy, exercise, education and acupuncture, and has training in pelvic health. Helping you understand your pelvic floor and talk about these concerns without stigma, including through postpartum changes, is work she enjoys. Her sessions lean on clear explanation of what's going on and why each part of the plan was chosen, so you can take an active role in your recovery. Her assessments are simple and systematic, and goals are set with you.
Outside the clinic, Sara spends her time with her two busy little boys and their family, outdoors, reading, doing puzzles and travelling when they get the chance.
