What You Can Book at Stride Physio and Performance

Stride Physio and Performance offers physiotherapy and massage therapy in one clinic at 220 1st Ave NW. You can see a physiotherapist for a sore back, a sprained ankle or a hockey injury. Pelvic floor physiotherapy, concussion assessment and management, and vestibular rehabilitation for dizziness and vertigo happen in the same building. Our massage therapist offers general massage plus prenatal, postnatal and jaw (TMJ) massage, so you may not need to travel to Regina or Saskatoon for it.

Every plan starts with an assessment. Hands-on treatment, dry needling, acupuncture and shockwave therapy may help settle pain so it's easier to move. We use them when they're useful, alongside the exercise and education you keep doing at home. They support the plan. They don't replace it.

Some care continues after pain settles. Our coaching program helps you keep building strength and fitness, with regular check-ins and in-person or virtual sessions, and it's available after rehab or on its own. We also offer custom 3D-scanned orthotics, custom knee braces and help choosing off-the-shelf braces. Each of those starts with an assessment, and if you don't need one, we'll tell you.

Choosing a Service

Not Sure Which Service Fits Your Problem

You don't need to know the right service before you book. Pick the one closest to what you're feeling. Neck pain after a fall, a knee that gives out on the ice and low back pain that keeps coming back all fit a general physiotherapy assessment.

Picking the wrong one is fine, because the assessment sorts it out. We ask about your symptoms, health history, work, sleep and stress, then test movement, strength, nerves or balance where it's relevant. Another clinician on the team may suit you better, and when that's the case we'll tell you and help you book with them. Anything that needs your doctor or a specialist first gets flagged too, and we'll help you get there.

When you see more than one of us, we talk to each other about your care so the pieces fit together. We also work with family doctors, specialists, dentists, coaches, employers, WCB and SGI when it helps.

Common Questions About Booking at Stride

Which service do I need?

Book the one closest to your problem. For pain, an injury or stiffness, a general physiotherapy assessment is a good starting point. Your physiotherapist can point you to pelvic floor, concussion, vestibular or massage care if one of those fits.

Do I need a doctor's referral?

No. You don't need a referral to see a physiotherapist in Saskatchewan. Some insurance plans require one for coverage, so check your plan before your first visit.

Do you direct bill my insurance?

Billing depends on your plan. Call us at 306-778-7770 before your first visit and we'll go through it with you. If your injury happened at work or in a car accident, bring your WCB or SGI claim number.

How long is a first visit?

It's long enough to talk through your symptoms, do a physical assessment and agree on a plan before you leave. Session length depends on the service, and our front desk can tell you how much time to set aside. Wear clothing that lets us see and move the area being assessed.
