How Taryn Works with You
Taryn grew up in Kamloops, BC, with summers split between Las Vegas and Irma, Alberta. At Thompson Rivers University she completed a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology between 2009 and 2017, studying both the cellular side of health and how the mind processes stress, pain and movement. She then earned a master's degree in physiotherapy at the University of Saskatchewan from 2018 to 2020, in a program with a strong emphasis on assessment and manual therapy.
Before physiotherapy, Taryn worked as a team trainer in hockey, football, lacrosse and the WCBL. She's always had a soft spot for athletes, though the rural mix of patients keeps her working with all ages and conditions. Sessions are hands-on: manual techniques to help you move and feel better, then exercise you can build on at home. Some treatments can feel uncomfortable, so she checks in with you and works at a pace that feels right.
Outside the clinic, she stays active outdoors and makes things by hand, from pottery to crochet.
